What a Grand Opening..!
Yes! I haven't blogged in a while, and that's because we were preparing for the Grand Opening of Maroochy Day + Night Amcal. I must say, it was a great success! We probably owned Maroochydore for the week, and I am not going to complain!
The shop looks fantastic with new range of stock, and there's now something for everyone. After weeks of hard work from all my staff and my lovely wife Adela, I am so happy with all the support from our regulars as well as the many new faces we saw!
I really like to say a big thank you to Tania from My Catalyst, for her dedication and hard work she has put in to make this event a great success. Without her, this event was never going to happen. Tania, Adela and I love you. You are a star!
I would also like to thank our partners for the event and the Get Set for Spring Program: MixFm, Byron at Byron Resort and Spa, Coastline BMW and Mini Garage, Styling You with Nikki Parkinson, One Life Gym Maroochydore, Starshots, Elenbi Hairstyling, Allure, Prue Edwards Makeup, Cafe Envy, and Napoleon Perdis. It is you that have made the event so successful, and I look forward to work with you again for the Get Set for Summer ;).
Adela and I will be heading down to Byron at Byron again the coming weekend after the Health and Aging Expo at Kawana. The pharmacy will be there and Tien will be giving a talk (he loves talking). Byron at Byron is offering a really, really, special deal at the moment to our customers and partners, so if you want to know more, come to see me at the pharmacy and send me an email!
We'll be thinking of you when we are sitting by the infinity pool next week.

Power - Resolve/Determination/Action
I had always been known to be a person of inaction. Despite brief periods of great motivation, they always follow by long periods of procrastination.
Recently I have managed to lose 10kgs in 8 weeks. Although I might have another 5kgs to go before I get to my ideal weight, I am no longer overweight. Apart from the health gains,
I have learnt something very valuable in the past 10 weeks. I have learnt that you must have your resolve before you can have the determination to carryout actions.
Why are some people so determined to do something? It is not because they are more disciplined than others, it is because they have found a reason to carryout the action. For me, it was the realisation of how overweight I was, and the implications if I didn't do anything. The fact that I didn't have a solid goal or target weight didn't mattered. What kept me going was that I felt a strong reason to lose weight.
Power = your ability to decide, but to unleash the power in you, you must have your resolve!

the Byron Bay getaway
It is always good to getaway for a few days. We might not have done anything different from what we would have if we were at home: still the work discussions, the internet, eating out, the TV, but the fact that we are not at home had made a huge difference.
Getting away is sometimes not about doing anything different, but getting away from your familiar surroundings, adds a bit of change to your environment. Although you might be still doing the same thing, for somehow it is different.
The little observations sparks new conversations; the fact that we are so far away from the business let us put our minds elsewhere. We get to try new restaurants and compare them to what we have on the coast (and really, I was quite surprised Fish Head and Dish were quite fantastic). And, we get to compare our experience at 'Byron at Byron' where we stayed two years ago for our reflection before our wedding.
The fact is, despite we spend the time doing the same things, the quality of time we spent together is better. All these little observations keeps our lives interesting. Although it is never long enough, I am sure we'll do another weekend somewhere someday soon again.
We'll be driving back home in the morning, but for we would be more refresh.

My blog updated!
I have finally updated my blog. Sparoz Health has been moved to http://sparozhealth.blogspot.com.
I think I have started feeling a bit empty when I just wrote about pharmacy and health.
So, why did I change my blog? There are so many things I wanted to do, and this is going to be a place for me express my opinions without any inhibition. Apart from health and medicine, I love cars, movies, politics at times, car racing (especially formula 1) and gadgets, etc. Health and medicine is all about facts and my interpretation of those facts. While the sparoz blogs is going to be all about my personal view on life.
You can follow me on twitter on: http://twitter.com/sparoz
I also write extensively on the BimmerPost.com and you can find me here: http://www.1addicts.com/forums/member.php?u=56826
Stay tune for my updates
